Other Info: Riding up Mont Ventoux in 2001 was awesome and my most memorable
bicycling event so far during the short time since I started bicycling in Spring
of 2000. My dumbest and worst experience? One day riding the Yough trail a kid
jumped in front of me with his bicycle. Pulling the brakes I sailed over the
handlebar, over the kid's bike and hit the ground. The damage? Three broken
ribs! It hurt but I grit my teeth and rode another 22 miles from Ohiopyle to
Confluence and back. My chest did not stop hurting. Two days later the doc
examined me. He pushed right on a broken rib upon which I started singing the
National Anthem, ran him over, causing him to get a head wound from a lamp
screen. Well, also doctors get hurt once-in-awhile.
